Plastic Pallets – The Next Generation Pallets

In a world of looking to reuse and recycle, it’s a no-brainer that the next generation pallet is plastic. Plastic Pallets are becoming a stronger contender with most warehousing budgets these days. Pre-2010, Plastic Pallets were talked about more than they were actually being used. Now, this alternative gets just as much of a look-in as the timber pallet.

The Plastic Pallet

If your application calls for standard-sized pallets and you have the opportunity to reuse them over and over – the Plastic Pallet becomes incredibly affordable. The limitations on size, however, narrows down the type of customers who use this kind of pallet. This is because you cannot have plastic pallets as a uniformed product across the board if you need customisation.

The available standard sizes you will find are:

  • 1100 x 1100
  • 1200 x 1000
  • 1200 x 800
  • 1165 x 1165

The main appeal of a Plastic Pallet is that, when handled correctly, it can last up to 10 years! Some styles are UV-resistant, giving full protection outdoors.

If hygiene and cleanliness is important to you, then you’ve probably been using plastic pallets for years already as you have the ability to wash and sanitise them with ease. There really is no comparison with core requirements like this.

What has changed, though, is the price. The demand has increased so significantly that it’s more than affordable to consider using them than throw-away wooden export pallets.

The main categories we have are Export Pallets and Rackable Pallets. The difference? Export Pallets are lightweight for airfreight, the perfect size for shipping containers, and have the static weight rating of 3000kg. Rackable Pallets, on the other hand, give you a flexible storage option and have a Rack Rating of 1000kg-1500kg. Of course, each of these have their own variations such as a 4-way entry, closed deck, spill containment and many more. For a full list and descriptions of each type of Plastic Pallets, click here.

Our business holds also both new and second hand pallets in stock. We can offer competitive rates for as few as 10 and even cut some great deals when looking at truck loads. So, get in touch with our sales team today and see for yourself just how competitive the next generation pallet is.
