The most effective ways of avoiding rust and corrosion is by using one or more of the following methods;

DESICCANT BAGS

If you need to remove moisture from the air and keep your cargo safe from mould and dew, dessicant bags are an ideal choice.

RUST INHIBITING COATINGS

Are you looking for a contact rust inhibitor? Do you need UV resistance for products being exposed to the outside elements? UBEECO™ Packaging Solutions can supply aerosol or paint coatings as well as quote to apply, or apply with a spray or painting process.

This application creates a thin invisible barrier which will not stain metal surfaces. This barrier is likened to a fish scale like structure allowing it to be resilient to moisture. This product can be used as addtional protection for your metal surface or where there are small parts or pieces are exposed.
Rust inhibiting coatings can also be used where your budget doesn’t allow the premium products such as Barrier Foil and VCI Films.

VCI FILM

If you need a flexible film to protect and safeguard your product from corrosion, then the VCI film is what you are looking for. VCI is a stretch film that can be molded to the contour of your product. Not only does VCI film assist in removing the air away from your product, there are additives that are released from the film which protects the product it covers from corrosion. Unlike some materials on the market UBEECO Packaging Solutions VCI film is 100% recyclable and more importunately doesn’t contain copper keeping it Toxic Free. VCI stands for; “Volatile Corrosion Inhibiting”. It’s a barrier film that isn’t required to have direct contact with the product it is protecting. Whilst it’s a thin material it consists of 3 layers of co-extrusion technology.

For added protection against moisture desiccant bags can be placed inside before it is sealed off.

BARRIER FOIL

If you are looking for a premium option in both protection and prevention the Barrier Foil bag is the option for you. UBEECO Packaging Solutions supply barrier foil in roll form and can also custom make bags. This advanced material does not only provider a barrier against water vapours, it offers protection against Transmission odors, UV Radiation, Acids and alkalis. Custom made bags are fitted over your products or machinery. The bag is then vacuum sealed removing the air from our product. Barrier foil is a 3 layer laminate material consisting Polyester, Aluminum and polyethylene films. Like VCI film, Barrier foil is the optimum choice for long term storage and anti corrosion and should be used in conjunction with desiccants.
